Ingredients

- 10 lbs potatoes
- 1/2 gallon heavy whipping cream
- 1 gallon whole milk
- 1 lb bacon
- 1/4 cup bacon grease
- 2 1/2 cups dried onion, minced
- 1 lb butter
- 1/8 cup salt
- 1/8 cup pepper
Recipe
- 1 wash and peel potatoes.
- 2 cook bacon until completely crispy.
- 3 drain bacon, and keep 1/4 cup bacon grease.
- 4 cut potatoes into quarters.
- 5 crush bacon into small pieces.
- 6 combine all ingredients in a large stock pot.
- 7 heat over medium heat until the soup comes to a boil stirring frequently. lower heat to low and continue to simmer until the potatoes are soft stirring regularly.
