Swiss Corn Bake

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 (15 1/4 ounce) cans sweet whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup soft breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350*.
  • 2 lightly grease 2-quart baking dish; set aside.
  • 3 in large bowl stir together egg, corn, milk, onion, salt and pepper.
  • 4 stir in 3/4 cup of the cheese.
  • 5 spoon into prepared baking dish.
  • 6 in medium bowl combine bread crumbs, butter and remaining 1/4 cup cheese.
  • 7 sprinkle over corn mixture.
  • 8 bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown and the center jiggles slightly.
  • 9 let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
