Chocolate Icing

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 melt chocolate in top of double boiler.
  • 2 stir flour into chocolate.
  • 3 add milk a little at a time and blend well.
  • 4 cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until very thick.
  • 5 it should have the texture and consistency of thick pudding.
  • 6 cool completely.
  • 7 in a large bowl, beat sugar, butter and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  • 8 gradually add cooled chocolate mixture and beat until icing is the consistency of whipped cream.
