Ingredients

- 2 lbs of fresh pole beans
- 3 slices bacon
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
- 1 wash the beans,trim stems and ends and snap beans in half and set aside.
- 2 cook the bacon in large saucepan until crisp remove the bacon reserve the drippings in pan crumble the bacon and set aside.
- 3 add water and remaining 3 ingredients to the pan bring to boil over high heat add beans and cover.
- 4 reduce heat to medium cover and cook for 15 minutes.
- 5 sprinkle with bacon and serve with a slotted spoon.
