Spiced Baked Custard

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups low-fat milk
  • 1/3 cup heat-stable granular sugar substitute
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325.
  • 2 in a small bowl combine eggs, milk, sugar substitute, and vanilla. beat until combined.
  • 3 place 4 6 ounce custard cups in a 2 quart square baking dish.
  • 4 divide egg mixture among custard cups, then sprinkle with allspice.
  • 5 fill baking dish around custard cups with water to a a depth of 1".
  • 6 bake for 30-45 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center of each cup comes out clean.
  • 7 remove cups from water.
