Star Fruit Jam

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 kg carambolas
  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 750 g sugar
  • 2 lemons, juice of
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 trim the winged edges from the carambola fruit and place in a saucepan.
  • 2 add water and boil until tender[approx 15 minutes].
  • 3 add the sugar, lemon juice and salt and boil until the jam sets.
  • 4 pour into sterilsed jars and seal.
