Taco Burgers For A Midwesterner!

Ingredients



  • 2 teaspoons dried onion flakes

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon parsley

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef

  • 1 cup finely crushed yellow corn chips

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

  • cheese slice

  • hamburger bun

  • lettuce leaf (or shredded)

  • tomato, slices

  • salsa (optional)


Recipe



  • 1 in a small bowl, combine taco seasoning ingredients; set aside.

  • 2 crumble burger in a large mixing bowl, sprinkle taco seasonings over the meat, mix in with hands, let rest 15-30 minutes (melding of the flavors!).

  • 3 when that has perfumed the air sufficiently, add the corn chips and egg; mix well, then shape into six patties.

  • 4 broil or grill burgers, juices run clear, 160* on a meat thermometer.

  • 5 add a slice of cheese right before removing from heat.

  • 6 serve on buns with lettuce, tomato and salsa (if desired).
