Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large diced green pepper
- 2 sliced celery ribs
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 1/2 cups tomato juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 lb large shrimp
- 4 cups hot cooked rice
Recipe
- 1 heat butter, green pepper, celery, onion, oregano, garlic powder, & cayenne pepper until veggies are crisp.
- 2 add tomato juice. heat to boil. simmer for 5 minute.
- 3 mix cornstarch & 1/2 cup tomato juice until smooth.
- 4 add mixture & shrimp to vegetables. cook till mixture boils, thickens, & shrimp turns pink. let simmer 1 hour.
- 5 serve over rice.
