Zesty Texas Potato Wedges

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 6 large potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Recipe

  • 1 slice unpeeled potatoes into wedges (12-14 per potato).
  • 2 in a shallow dish, beat together egg and milk.
  • 3 in another shallow dish, combine flour and seasonings.
  • 4 dip potato wedges into milk mixture, then dust with flour mixture.
  • 5 place in a single layer on an ungreased baking sheet.
  • 6 drizzle with oil.
  • 7 bake at 450° for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown and tender.
