Lacey's Broccoli & Rice

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar cheese whiz
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 3 cups cooked white rice

Recipe

  • 1 saute the onion and broccoli in the butter till it begins to get tender- add cheese, milk and soup. mix till well combined. add the rice- bake at 325 degrees untill it is bubbly- 25 minutes or so.
  • 2 sometimes we add waterchestnuts - small can of chopped. (drained).
  • 3 sometimes i use onion- sometimes i do not use it- whatever is handy.
  • 4 cheez whiz or velveeta- either will work fine.
