Lasagna

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 8 ounces pacakge lasagna noodles
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon season salt
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 (29 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (1 1/2 ounce) package spaghetti sauce mix
  • 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • mozzarella cheese, slices
  • cottage cheese
  • 1 (2 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms

Recipe

  • 1 brown meat and drain.
  • 2 add salt, garlic and pepper to taste.
  • 3 cook slowly uncovered 10 minutes.
  • 4 stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce mix and mushrooms.
  • 5 cover and simmer 30 minutes.
  • 6 meanwhile cook lasagna according to directions.
  • 7 drain & rinse.
  • 8 in a 8x12x2 baking dish, pour 1/3 of meat sauce.
  • 9 cover with lasagna strips, then mozzarella and spoonfuls of cottage cheese.
  • 10 repeat layers ending with meat sauce.
  • 11 bake @ 350 until bubbly.
