Strawberry-peach Crisp

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1/2 cup flour, divided
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans peach slices, drained
  • 2 cups strawberries, halved
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tbsp. light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup cold butter
  • 3 cups post honey bunches of oats cereal almonds, lightly crushed
  • 1/2 cup cool whip topping, thawed

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f remove 2 tablespoons of the flour; set aside. toss peach slices with strawberries, 3/4 cup sugar and remaining flour in large bowl. place in ungreased 8-inch square baking dish.
  • 2 mix reserved 2 tablespoons flour and the 2 tablespoons flour in separate bowl. cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. add cereal; stir until well blended. sprinkle over fruit mixture.
  • 3 bake 25 minutes or until topping is lightly browned. serve topped with whipped topping.
  • 4 variation: strawberry-rhubarb crisp - substitute 2 cups sliced fresh rhubarb (about 1/2-inch thick) for the peach slices.
