Key West Grilled Salmon

Total Time: 24 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 4 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/3 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • hot pepper sauce (a few drops or to taste)
  • 4 salmon steaks, each 3/4 inch thick (1 1/2 pounds total weight)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/4 teaspoon honey

Recipe

  • 1 in a small mixing bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients.
  • 2 place salmon in a shallow dish.
  • 3 pour 1/4 cup lime juice mixture over the fish; turn to coat.
  • 4 refrigerate 10 minutes; turning once.
  • 5 to remaining lime juice mixture add in the green onions, water, and honey; stir to combine.
  • 6 grease grill rack. over high heat, place salmon on grill rack.

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup lime-flavored
  • 1/16 cup frangelico
  • 1 dash lime juice
  • 8 ounces extra thick cool whip topping

  • 1 prepare the shot cups. make individual rows of 1-ounce cups on a baking sheet.
  • 2 combine the milk and pudding powder thoroughly in a large bowl.
  • 3 measure and pour the , frangelico, and lime juice into the bowl. thoroughly whisk everything together.
  • 4 froth the mixture. add a scoop of the whipped cream and fold it into the pudding. continue this process slowly until everything is blended well.
  • 5 finish off by carefully folding in a green food coloring drop. just remember that the more drops added, the darker the mixture will get.
  • 6 use an ice cream scoop to evenly measure the pudding mixture into the cups.

  • preheat oven to 400 degrees f. line shallow baking pan with aluminum foil; spray foil with cooking spray. mix tomato sauce and brown sugar in small bowl; set aside.
  • combine meat, drained tomatoes, bread crumbs and eggs in medium bowl. shape meat mixture into a loaf shape in pan.
  • bake 30 minutes. remove from oven; pour tomato sauce mixture over meatloaf. reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees f. bake 25 to 30 minutes more or until meatloaf is cooked through (160 degrees f). let stand 10 minutes before cutting into 6 slices.

Key Lime Tropical Ice

  • 9 key limes, juice of (can substitute 3 persian limes)
  • 2 bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Recipe

  • 1 mix all ingredients thoroughly and place in freezing tray for about 1 hour.
  • 2 garnish each serving with fresh mint leaves.

Key West Chicken

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
  • 4 chicken breast halves, skinless boneless

Recipe

  • 1 in a shallow container, blend soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, lime juice, and garlic. place chicken breast halves into the mixture, and turn to coat. cover, and marinate in the refrigerator at least 30 minutes.
  • 2 preheat an outdoor grill for high heat.
  • 3 lightly oil the grill grate. discard marinade, and grill chicken 6 to 8 minutes on each side, until juices run clear.

Key Lime Pie With A Gingersnap Crust

  • 1 1/4 cups gingersnap crumbs (i made them from gingersnap cookies gingersnap cookies)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons crystallized ginger, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup strained fresh key lime juice (about 12-14 limes)
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons grated lime zest
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch citric acid (optional)
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
  • 1 lime, zest of, to garnish

Recipe

  • 1 chill a mixing bowl and mixer whip.
  • 2 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 3 combine gingersnap crumbs, sugar, and ginger in a food processor and pulse to obtain very fine crumbs.
  • 4 pour crumbs into a bowl and mix well with melted butter.
  • 5 butter a 9-inch pie plate and evenly and firmly press gingersnap crumbs along the bottom and sides of pan.
  • 6 par-bake crust at 350f for 10 minutes or until nicely browned.
  • 7 allow crust to cool while preparing filling.
  • 8 beat together egg yolks and lime zest in a large non-reactive bowl (mixture may turn pale green).
  • 9 add condensed milk and continue beating.
  • 10 add salt, citric acid and lime juice, mixing thoroughly.

  • 12 when thickened, evenly pour prepared filling into the crust.
  • 13 bake at 350f for 10 minutes or until mixture sets but is still slightly jiggly.

  • 15 using the chilled mixing bowl, beat cream until soft peaks form.
  • 16 add sugar 1 tbsp at a time, and continue to beat until firm peaks form.
  • 17 serve whipped cream on pie as desired, garmished with additional lime zest.
  • 18 refrigerate unused portions.

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 can eagle brand condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup realime juice
  • green food coloring
  • whipped cream

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325 deg.
  • 2 in large mixer bowl combine egg yolks with sweetened condensed milk, realime and food coloring, if desired.
  • 3 pour into prepared pastry shell; bake 30 min.
  • 4 cool.
  • 5 chill.
  • 6 top with whippped cream.
  • 7 garnish as desired.
  • 8 refrigerate leftovers.
  • 9 this makes an 8" pie.
  • 10 for 9 or 10" pie, double all filling ingredients and bake 40 min.
  • 11 also works for lemon pie substituting lemon juice for realime.

Bundt Cake

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix

  • 4 eggs

  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil

  • 3/4 cup cream

  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder


Recipe



  • preheat oven to 350 degrees f (175 degrees c). oil the sides and bottom of a 10 inch bundt cake pan. in a small bowl, mix cinnamon, sugar and cocoa. "flour" the sides and bottom of the pan with the mixture, tap out the excess back into the cinnamon mixture.

  • in a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, oil, , nutmeg and pudding mix. beat until well blended. pour half of the batter into the bundt pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar, cover with the remaining batter and finally, top with remaining cinnamon mixture.

  • bake at 350 degrees f (175 degrees c) for 45 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean. cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out a wire rack.

Key Lime Pie

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 250 g digestive biscuits
  • 100 g butter, melted
  • 5 limes
  • 400 g condensed milk
  • 300 ml heavy cream
  • 20 g bitter chocolate

Recipe

  • 1 whiz the digestive biscuits in a food processor until breadcrumbs.
  • 2 mix in the melted butter.
  • 3 press the mixture into the base of a greased 20cm loose-bottomed pan.
  • 4 place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.
  • 5 meanwhile, zest and juice the limes into a bowl.
  • 6 add the condensed milk and cream and whisk until creamy.
  • 7 pour over the chilled base.
  • 8 place back in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
  • 9 decorate with shavings of bitter chocolate before serving.

  • 24 key lime coolers cookies
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 fill 2 (12-muffin) mini muffin tins with paper cups and spray with cooking spray.
  • 3 place 1 key lime cooler cookie in the bottom of the cup, flat side down.

  • 5 fill the shaker 1/2 full with ice and shake until well blended.

  • preheat an oven to 300 degrees f (150 degrees c).

baked parmesan meatball sliders

  • 1 pound ground round beef (85% lean)
  • 1/2 cup kraft® grated parmesan cheese

  • 2 to prepare the crumb crust, combine crumbs, granulated sugar and butter. press evenly on bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate. bake 8 minutes or until edge is golden brown. cool on a wire rack.
  • 3 reduce oven temperature to 325°f to prepare the filling, combine egg yolks, milk, lime rind and juice, and whisk until blended.
  • 4 beat egg whites until foamy. gradually add granulated sugar and beat until stiff. (the tips flop over when the beater is lifted.) do not overbeat. stir about a third of the whites into milk mixture. fold in remaining whites. turn into crust and bake 15 minutes. chill 4 hours or until cold.
  • 5 whip cream until thickened. add confectioners’ sugar and whip until stiff. spread over top of pie.

  • rinse the duck inside and out, and pat dry. cut off tail and discard. in a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, pepper and cloves. sprinkle one teaspoon of the mixture into the cavity of the duck. stir one tablespoon of the soy sauce into the remaining spice mixture and rub evenly over the entire outside of the bird. cut one of the green onions in half and tuck inside the cavity. cover and refrigerate the bird for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
  • place duck breast side up on a rack in a big enough wok or pot and steam for an hour adding a little more water, if necessary, as it evaporates. lift duck with two large spoons, and drain juices and green onion.
  • preheat the oven to 375 degrees f (190 degrees c). place duck breast side up in a roasting pan and prick skin all over using a fork.
  • roast for 30 minutes in the preheated oven. while the duck is roasting, mix together the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and honey. after 30 minutes, brush the honey mixture the duck and return it to the oven. turn the heat up to 500 degrees f (260 degrees c). roast for 5 minutes, or until the skin is richly browned. do not allow the skin to char.
  • prepare the duck sauce by mixing the plum jam with the sugar, vinegar and chutney in a small serving bowl. chop remaining green onions and place them into a separate bowl. place whole duck a serving platter and garnish with orange slices and fresh parsley. use plum sauce and onions for dipping.

Key Lime Pie (better Than Rib Cage)

  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 ounces key lime juice
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • heavy whipping cream
  • sugar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350*f.
  • 2 crust:
  • 3 combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and sugar until crumbly.
  • 4 press this mixture into a pie plate, put in freezer to chill about 15 minutes.
  • 5 bake pie crust between 5-10 minutes depending on your oven until crisp and crumbly. take out and cool completely.
  • 6 filling:.
  • 7 combine egg yolks, milk and juice in a large bowl.
  • 8 hand whisk until smooth.
  • 9 dump into prepared pie crust.
  • 10 bake 8-10 minutes at 350*f

  • 3 drops green food coloring (optional)

  • 1 (1/4 ounce) envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Recipe

  • 1 grate the required zest and squeeze 1 cup juice from limes.
  • 2 in pot over medium heat, combine juice, sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks and ginger.
  • 3 cook, stirring often, until mixture coats back of spoon and instant read thermometer registers 160 degrees fahrenheit, about five minutes, (do not overcook or the mixture will curdle); then remove from heat.
  • 4 stir in zest and food coloring if using it; then transfer to a large bowl and cover the surface directly with plastic wrap and regrigerate for about an hour.
  • 5 meanwhile, in a small pot over low heat, warm 1/2 cup of the cream until it is about room temperature, warm to the touch.
  • 6 sprinkle gelatin over the warmed cream; let stand for a minute or two to soften; over low heat cook, stirring constantly, until dissolved, 1-2 minutes; cool away from the heat for five minutes.
  • 7 at high speed, beat the 1/4 cup sugar with the remaining cream until soft peaks form.
  • 8 reduce the speed to medium and gradually drizzle the gelatin mixture into the cream; beat until stiff; reserve one cup of the whipped cream mixture; cover and refrigerate.
