Haystacks

Ingredients



  • 1 (6 ounce) package butterscotch chips

  • 1 (5 ounce) package chow mein noodles

  • 1 -2 cup peanuts (optional) or 1 -2 cup cashews (optional)


Recipe



  • 1 in the top of a double broiler, melt butterscotch chips over boiling water at low heat.

  • 2 stir occasionally until all melted.

  • 3 remove from heat and stir quickly to prevent sticking.

  • 4 mix in chow mein noodles and nuts.

  • 5 drop by rounded teaspoons onto wax paper.

  • 6 let stand until firm.

  • 7 can be refrigerated.
