Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Recipe
- 1 heat oil for deep frying (375°f).
- 2 in large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.
- 3 mix pumpkin, milk, oil, vanilla and egg.
- 4 stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
- 5 drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil 5-6 at a time.
- 6 fry 1-2 minutes, on each side, until golden brown.
- 7 drain on paper towels.
- 8 mix sugar and cinnamon; roll warm donuts in mixture.
