Killer Kale

Total Time: 4 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 bunch kale
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken stock
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 preparation:.
  • 2 rinse greens. cut into strips. boil in salted water for 6 minutes. drain in colander. while greens are boiling, cook bacon, remove from skillet. saute onions and garlic in bacon drippings until onion is lightly browned. place greens, onion & garlic, crumbled bacon, pepper flakes and chicken stock in crock pot. cook on high 4 hours or until greens are tender.
