Ingredients

- 1/2 lb sliced bacon
- 1 lb smoked kielbasa, sliced and halved
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 medium sweet red pepper, chopped
- 2 (16 ounce) cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/2 cup chicken broth

Recipe
- 1 in a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove to paper towel to drain.
- 2 discard all but 1 tablespoon drippings; cook kielbasa in drippings until lightly browned. drain.
- 3 add onion, red pepper, beans,broth and pepper.
- 4 cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- 5 crumble bacon on top.
- 6 yield: 6 servings.
