Killer Cranberry Scones

Total Time: 42 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup firm butter, cut in small pieces
  • 3/4 cup cranberries, chopped if desired
  • 3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange rind
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Recipe

  • 1 in a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt with a fork.
  • 2 cut in butter with a pastry blender until it resembles coarse cornmeal.
  • 3 stir in cranberries, walnuts, and orange peel.
