Kielbasa Apple Kabobs

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 10 -12 skewers
  • 1 lb kielbasa
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 red apples, such as braeburn or 1 gala apples, cored
  • 1 tart green apple, such as granny smith, cored
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 if using bamboo skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before grilling.
  • 2 cut kielbasa, onion and apples into 2-inch pieces.
  • 3 combine in a bowl with lemon juice, olive oil, black pepper and salt.
  • 4 toss to coat.
  • 5 preheat grill to medium high.
  • 6 thread pieces of sausage, onion and apple pieces on skewers, alternating them.
  • 7 grill 3 to 5 minutes each side, until apples and onions are slightly blackened on edges, yet still crisp inside, and sausage is very hot.
  • 8 serve immediately.
