Kielbasa Apple Kabobs

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 10 -12 skewers
- 1 lb kielbasa
- 1 large onion
- 1 red apples, such as braeburn or 1 gala apples, cored
- 1 tart green apple, such as granny smith, cored
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 teaspoons fresh ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 if using bamboo skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before grilling.
- 2 cut kielbasa, onion and apples into 2-inch pieces.
- 3 combine in a bowl with lemon juice, olive oil, black pepper and salt.
- 4 toss to coat.
- 5 preheat grill to medium high.
- 6 thread pieces of sausage, onion and apple pieces on skewers, alternating them.
- 7 grill 3 to 5 minutes each side, until apples and onions are slightly blackened on edges, yet still crisp inside, and sausage is very hot.
- 8 serve immediately.
