Key Lime Sherbet

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 teaspoons gelatin, soaked in 1/2 c cold water
  • 1/3 cup key lime juice
  • 1 cup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 egg whites

Recipe

  • 1 boil the sugar and water for 10 minutes, add softened gelatin and when it has dissolved, remove from heat.
  • 2 add the key lime juice and the .
  • 3 freeze for 1 hour in 2 ice trays.
  • 4 add the salt to the egg whites. beat until stiff and set aside.
  • 5 remove the mix from the freezer into a chilled bowl and beat with an electric mixer until frothy.
