Kids Cheez-it Crusted Chicken Tenders W/ Honey Mustard Dipping S

Ingredients

- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 1/3 cup guldens spicy brown mustard
- 2 tablespoons hellmann's mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons wishbone italian dressing
- 1 tablespoon finely grated onion (juice, use a microplane)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 cup crushed cheez-it crackers (use ziploc bag & release some stress, lol)
- 2 tablespoons emeril's original essence
- vegetable oil (for frying)
Recipe
- 1 remove tenders from packaging and rinse.
- 2 add the mustard, mayo, dressing, onion, garlic powder and mix well.
- 3 (you may add some cayenne, if you prefer).
- 4 allow the chicken to marinate for at least 20 minute i like to poke the tenders with a fork at this time to ensure thorough frying.
- 5 in a large flat serving plate combine flour, bread crumbs, cheez-its, essence.
- 6 get your skillet ready by adding veg oil and set on high.
- 7 take each tender and take off excess marinade. (leaving some so your coating can stick) roll around in the cheez-it coating.
- 8 start frying. you want it to be nice and golden in color. after your second batch, you may want to turn down the stove slightly. you dont want a burnt coating.
- 9 note: i have tried baking them before---didnt have the same flavor at all.
- 10 these are the only chicken tender, nugget, whatever--that my kids dont need to drench it in ketchup or bbq sauce.
- 11 i do serve it with a honey mustard sauce for those who desire.
- 12 honey mustard sauce:.
- 13 2 tblsp honey.
- 14 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard.
- 15 2 tblsp mayo.
