Krispies

Ingredients

  • Servings: 36
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crispy rice cereal (i used cocoa crispy)
  • 1 1/2 cups crispy rice chocolate candy bars, coarsely chopped

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350ºf.
  • 2 in a medium bowl combine flour, salt, and soda. mix well with a wire whisk and set aside.
  • 3 in a large bowl blend sugars with an electric mixer at medium speed. add butter and mix to form a grainy paste. scrape down sides of bowl, then add egg and vanilla. beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
  • 4 add flour mixture, rice cereal and chocolate chunks. blend at low speed just until combined. do not overmix.
  • 5 drop by rounded tablespoons ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart. bake for 22-24 minutes. immediately transfer cookies with spatula to a cool, flat surface.
