Lamb Shanks Supreme

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 4 lamb shanks
- 2 tablespoons fat
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup dry
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 4 tablespoons ketchup
- 4 small onions or 4 small onions, sliced in rings
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 8 prunes
Recipe
- 1 trim all fat from shanks.
- 2 dredge in flour with salt and pepper.
- 3 brown in fat in deep frying pan or dutch oven.
- 4 combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat.
- 5 place onions and prunes on top.
- 6 cover and bake in a moderate oven (350) for 2 hours or until meat is tender.
- 7 serve sauce over shanks.
