Kricket's Lemonade

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 4 large lemons
  • 1/2-3/4 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Recipe

  • 1 grate lemon peels, save for other use (no point in wasting good stuff!).
  • 2 roll lemons on the counter to loosen the juice, then juice lemons, and strain into a bowl.
  • 3 meanwhile, mix the generous half-cup water with sugar, and bring to a boil, and boil, stirring often, until sugar dissolves.
  • 4 remove sugar water from heat, let sit for a couple of minutes.
  • 5 add lemon juice to sugar, and stir to mix.
  • 6 pour into a pitcher, add remaining water, and ice cubes.
  • 7 stir until ice dissolves.
  • 8 now, this might be a bit strong for some, so adjust accordingly. i like mine very tart and strong.
  • 9 enjoy!
