Spam-ette Casserole

Ingredients

• 1 (12 ounce) can spam
• 1 (7 ounce) package creamettes macaroni
• 1/4 cup butter
• 1/4 cup flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
• 2 cups milk
• 1/2 lb sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
• 1/2 green pepper, chopped

Recipe

• 1 prepare macaroni as directed on package. slice, then cut in squares, one can spam, reserving a few slices. arrange macaroni and spam squares in 2 quart casserole; pour on cheese sauce. for cheese sauce: melt butter, blend in flour, salt and mustard. stir in milk. cook over medium heat, stirring until thick. add 1/2 lb. cheese. stir until smooth. place spam slices on top of casserole. add chopped green pepper. bake at 350* for 20-25 minutes.
