Low Fat Granola With Sun-dried Fruit And Almonds

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 6 cups rolled oats
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 (6 ounce) bag tropical dried mixed fruit
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 300 degrees f.
  • 2 in a large bowl, combine oats, cinnamon and ginger.
  • 3 in a separate bowl, combine honey, egg whites and applesauce.
  • 4 add to oat mixture.
  • 5 loosely pat into large cookie sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes (or longer, if necessary), stirring every 15 minutes.
  • 6 cool granola to room temperature.
  • 7 stir in cranberries, dried mixed fruit and almonds.
  • 8 store in an airtight container.
  • 9 serve with milk or yogurt.
  • 10 enjoy!
