Low Fat Low Sugar Chocolate Apple Snack Cake

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 9
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 apple, chopped and peeled (1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 oven to 350°.
  • 2 spray a square pan with nonstick spray, i used a glass pan.
  • 3 combine first 5 ingredients in bowl.
  • 4 in another bowl, combine water, oil, lemon juice, vanilla.
  • 5 add to dry ingredients, stir until just combined.
  • 6 toss apples with sugar and cinnamon, fold into batter.
  • 7 pour into prepared pan.
  • 8 bake for 30-35 minutes or until done.
