Low Fat Whole Wheat Banana Nut Chocolate Chip Cookies

Total Time: 24 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 14 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts (or any other nut)
  • 1 large ripe mashed banana

Recipe

  • 1 beat sugar and applesauce.
  • 2 add in egg and vanilla.
  • 3 slowly add mashed bananas with the dry ingredients, beating each addition well.
  • 4 stir in chocolate chips and nuts and drop dough a greased cookie sheet in rounded tablespoons.
  • 5 bake at 375 degrees for 14-15 minutes.
