Krunch N Munch

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 12 cups popped popcorn
  • 4 cups cheerios toasted oat cereal
  • 4 cups rice or 4 cups corn chex
  • 2 cups dry roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup margarine (not butter)
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 mix dry ingredients and put in 2 large roasting pans.
  • 2 melt margarine over medium heat. add corn syrup and brown sugar. bring to a rolling boil for 6 minutes. you must boil for 6 minutes or syrup will not be the right consistency.
  • 3 remove from heat; add baking soda and vanilla. mixture will foam.
  • 4 pour over dry mix.
  • 5 place both pans in 250 degree oven for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes.
  • 6 let cool on waxed paper.
