Low Fat Vegan Soft Pretzels

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups very warm water
  • 4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 add yeast to warm water and stir until muddy.
  • 2 add flour, sugar, and salt.
  • 3 mix and knead dough.
  • 4 roll into a sheet and then cut in strips to make "ropes."
  • 5 shape and place on ungreased cookie sheet
  • 6 add optional flavorings (butter, salt, garlic, etc)
  • 7 bake at 425 degrees f. for about 13 minutes, or until light brown.
