Low Fat Yogurt Biscuits

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup nonfat plain yogurt

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400.
  • 2 combine all-purpose and pastry flour with baking powder and salt.
  • 3 in a separate bowl, combine yogurt and oil.
  • 4 blend yogurt mixture into flour mixture just until the dry ingredients are moistened and it forms a dough.
  • 5 on a floured surface, pat the dough out into a circle 3/4-inch thick.
  • 6 using a knife or a pizza cutter, cut the circle into eight wedges.
  • 7 place wedges on an oiled baking sheet or a baking stone.
  • 8 bake for 20 minutes or until a knife iserted in the center comes out clean.
