L'kebab (algerian Fried Potato In Sauce)

Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 lb skinless chicken piece, rid of fat and skin
- 10 sprigs flat leaf parsley, leaves only, chopped
- 1/4 cup chickpeas, cooked
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 cups water
- 2 lbs frozen french fries
- 1 egg, beaten
- lemon wedge, for serving
Recipe
- 1 mix together in pan, 2 tablespoons oil, onion, chicken, 1/2 the parsley, chick peas, pepper, salt and cinnamon.
- 2 fry this mixture over low heat, covered for 10 minutes.
- 3 add water and bring to boil. cook over medium heat for 40 minutes.
- 4 meanwhile prepare the french fries according to package directions.
- 5 add the cooked fries to the chicken mixture along with the egg and simmer for 10 minutes.
- 6 garnish with remaining parsley.
