Low Cal Fat Free Granola Base

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 cup quick oats
- 2 cups puffed rice cereal
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 250°f.
- 2 combine oats and cereal in large bowl.
- 3 add applesauce and stir until crumbly.
- 4 spread evenly over large baking sheet and drizzle with honey.
- 5 bake for 30 minutes, stirring twice.
- 6 increase oven temp to 350°f.
- 7 add "fun" stuff: dates, raisins, nuts, etc. note: if you like "chunky" granola, drizzle another 1 t of honey at this step and "clump" into clusters.
- 8 bake for 8 to 10 minutes until dry and golden.
- 9 cool and serve. for hot cereal, use 1:1 ratio with favorite quick cooking cereal.
