Mexican Pie

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 deep dish pie shell, sprinkled with cornmeal
- 1 lb hamburger
- 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup sweet onion, chopped
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can corn, drained
- 1/4 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces salsa
- 1 pinch sugar
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 brown and drain hamburger,green pepper and onion.
- 2 mix with the next seven ingredients.
- 3 pour into unbaked deep dish pie crust that has been sprinkled with cornmeal.
- 4 bake at 425°f for 25 minutes.
- 5 take out of oven and put topping on (the last five ingredients).
- 6 bake about five more minutes.
- 7 cool and slice.
