Spaghetti Squash

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 spaghetti squash
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (reco ( barilla)
  • garlic salt, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 preheat the oven to 450 degrees f.
  • 2 split the squash in half from top to bottom and remove seeds with a spoon.
  • 3 line an oven tray with aluminum foil.
  • 4 brush spaghetti squash flesh with olive oil.
  • 5 place flesh side down and roast for 30 to 35 minutes (depends on size of squash). until some edges of the exposed flesh will be brown.
  • 6 remove from the oven and cool.
  • 7 meanwhile heat the marinara sauce in a large saute pan.
  • 8 using a large kitchen spoon scrape the strands of squash from the inside of the skin.
  • 9 add sauce, garlic salt, pepper, parmesan cheese or other accompaniment.
